Playa Gigante...

Playa Gigante is a sweet, sleepy little fishing village with a population of about 200 locals. The bay here is calm enough to harbor boats anchored out, and for the pangas to be pulled up on the beach. A great spot if you would like a boat of your own. From here you have quick access to all the surf spots from San Juan del Sur to Vera Cruz (approx. 45 min. in each direction).
Gigante is the perfect place to sit and have your sundowners as the sun sets into the ocean, while enjoying your local fare at the ocean front restaurants with fresh seafood every night.

Located about 30 minutes from Rivas, Gigante is the next up and coming community. With the Prana Del Sol development in it's back yard, and the most famous Central American surf tour on it's shore, Gigante, is becoming the coolest place to reside (Of course it's cool, we live here)! It's just a short walk from the world famous Hacienda Iguana, and has complete local charm.
